So I've had a few more chats with my parents about the "student" protests in France and now elsewhere.

Showed my dad the boats coming to England yesterday. I said "what do you notice". "Immigrants." "Notice anything strange about those immigrants?" "Just packed in the boat." "See any women or children? Old men?" "Oh."

Then I proceed to show him picture after picture of any photo on the web that comes up.

I also showed him the @ctvnews article with the headline about the "Far Right blaming immigration" and said this is the stuff you're fed every day and you don't give it a second thought. This is after we had our "student protest" discussion a few days ago and opened their eyes on what's really going on.

I genuinely think that generation don't even give whatever they're shown a second thought. It's in the news, it must be real.
