@khushkhushkhush As someone outside of the scene, I've always wondered about the proportion of startups that are purely performative. Ie) cosplaying as a startup and lucky enough to be funded. Or is the selection pressure strong enough to weed all of those out?

@JonHaidt Yes, and the stimulus-response-rewards incentivizes continued use. Perhaps even remodeling of communication. Moving toward communication that maximizes rewards, away from open honest communication that reflects earnest thoughts.

@Memetic_Theory I think I’d take on more side quests if I was compensated in gold coins and enchanted loot. Why would I help someone collect a loaf of bread from one town over if I didn’t think I’m getting at least a potion and some scrolls?
