The blue parrot made famous by Rio has returned to the wild
After disappearing from nature for more than 20 years, 20 Spix’s macaws were released back into Brazil in 2022
Last week, I unexpectedly bid farewell to my team of social media agricultural influencers in Rwanda.
It was bittersweet.
I’m grateful for this incredible journey with 34 passionate agri-influencers from Rwanda, who turned ideas into impact, posts into movements, and content into community.
Together, we showed that agriculture belongs online—and that storytelling can empower farmers, inspire youth, and transform rural livelihoods.
From 2021 to 2025, we grew from one voice to 34 voices under Agirite.
We shared farming tips, success stories, and agricultural value chain updates.
We turned fields into classrooms and social media into a tool for agricultural transformation.
Your energy, creativity, and commitment have made this journey unforgettable.
From late-night content brainstorming to celebrating farmer wins, every post mattered.
Let’s continue to promote agriculture, empower farmers, and inspire the next generation of agri-influencers—online and offline.
Here’s to growth.
Here’s to impact.
Here’s to telling the real stories of African agriculture.
