Hoser. The Arctic is healthy, polar bears are thriving. I adhere strictly to the religion of Fred Flintstone - Do unto others as they yabba-dabba-do unto you.
@bostonradio 1972 Plymouth Duster, which Al will humorously refer to as a Dodge but itโs a Plymouth.
In later episodes we can see the taillights which suggest itโs a 1972 model as opposed to the 1971 ๐
@LaocoonofTroy Ann Ayers wrote a book about Bonnie, โThe Cowgirl Who Wants To Ride Buckersโ
Ann is also a sculptor and did this amazing piece in bronze based on that photograph ๐
@ridethepastlane From Ideal Toys, still plenty to be found for sale. Most will be missing some pieces so buyer beware. It should have hook, rubber band and 13 pieces of junk. A tire, camera, walkie talkie, ball glove, jug, pistol, wagon wheel, anchor, lantern, boot, bone, skull, and fish bone ๐
@MGeeSpot Quite a cast:
Lee J. Cobb
Anthony Zerbe
Roscoe Lee Browne
Yaphet Kotto
Chill Wills
Lola Falana
Also Lee Majors and Barbara Hershey ! Three years before The Six Million Dollar Man ๐
@vvestiges This is the ad they showed only once. GM execs were allegedly upset at the visual of the guy trolling the parking lot for a street race so they canceled the ad AND the vacuum operated exhaust option. Estimates are 233 GTOs got the option.
If your GTO has it, you are rich ๐ค๐
@NormSNLJokes Thanks, man ! ๐
I remember watching this episode live. Penny Marshall made an appearance or two. I always liked the Mary Katherine Gallagher skit from that night ๐

@vvestiges A search says her name is Andrea Dromm. Is that right ? I then did a wee search on her name and 3 years earlier she was in the 2nd pilot episode of Star Trek.
Iโve always enjoyed Star Trek but Iโm certainly not a Trekkie as I didnโt remember they filmed 2 pilots ๐
Yeoman Smith
@CutiesVintage Very nice looking. From what Iโve read she lacks a bit of refinement around dinner time but I think with some gentle encouragement, honey please donโt kill the guests, sheโll make a great companion ๐
@vvestiges Crazy ๐ I donโt remember this one at all.
I canโt confirm this 100% but apparently it was inspired by Andy Warhol and his banana drawing, which became what we would call a meme today, and was the cover of the debut album of the Velvet Underground in 1967 ๐
@ridethepastlane Good luck trying to find that issue of Band Wagon. Itโs apparently the January 1945 issue but I canโt confirm that.
On the cover is Lauren from her promotional pictures for the 1944 film, โTo Have and Have Notโ which I believe was her first movie ๐
@NavalInstitute They worked 28 hours a week (4 hours per day) for $45 which was better than minimum wage of $1 at the time. But
โThe heavy chlorine in the water often turned their hair green, the sun caused severe sunburns, and the diesel fumes from the submarine engines caused health concernsโ
