It’s been 55 years since the Grateful Dead released their groundbreaking live album ‘Live/Dead,’ featuring performances captured at the Fillmore West and Avalon Ballroom in early 1969. With the help of Bob & Betty, Owsley Stanley and Ron Wickersham, the Dead became the first band to record a live album using sixteen-track technology and went on to become certified Gold by the RIAA in August 2001. What’s your top track from ‘Live/Dead?’
Celebrating Shakedown Street, released 46 years ago today. The @GratefulDead’s disco-funk adventure features classics like “Fire on the Mountain” and “I Need a Miracle.”

Congratulations to the 2024 Balloon Fiesta overall competition winner, Cody Robinson, from Kansas City, Missouri! Cody flew his balloon Grand Banana 2.0.
During competition, hot air balloon pilots must navigate the winds to throw a marker from their basket onto a target on the field. 188 pilots competed in the tasks throughout the week during the 52nd Balloon Fiesta!
Pictured here: the Sid Cutter memorial task, where pilots threw their markers as close as they could to one of the original Cutter balloon trucks!
