As the fireworks fade and families head home from barbecues and parades, I’m sitting here with a heart full of gratitude.

Grateful for those 56 signers in 1776 who bet everything on the wild idea that a nation could be built on liberty, equality, and rights given by God; not kings.

Grateful for every generation that followed: the soldiers, the statesmen, the ordinary citizens who defended it when it was tested.

Grateful for the Constitution and the rule of law that still guard our freedoms today.

Grateful for the men and women who wear the uniform: military, law enforcement, first responders, and for the quiet courage it takes to protect and serve.

Grateful for my own family, the freedom to worship, to speak, to build a life, and for the simple gift of living in America.

Freedom has always come at a price. Tonight I’m especially thankful for those who paid it, and for the chance to pass this inheritance on stronger than we received it.

God bless America. 🇺🇸

@mhp_guy I have a 54 inch electric zero-turn mower for our 5 acres of hilly farm/turf. It will MOW CIRCLES AROUND COMPARABLE ICE MACHINES with a fraction of the maintenance. Can mow 4-5 hours & recharge at 24 amps in 6-8 hours. It's awesome!

@Twillhog75 I like Keegan and it would be great for him. IMHO I don't see how anyone could be an elite match player for 1 or 2 rounds and a fully locked in coach with the pressure/preparation required. He should strive to be a focused captain- it's a big enough challenge in/of itself.

@FQClemson Agreed that most people, particularly sports media & Twitter blabber mouth experts, pushed these dumb concepts until they took hold. However, don't include me in the "we". To me, all these cockamamie ideas were obviously bound to be detrimental to the once great sport we love.
