On this day in 1885, the Last Spike was driven in on the Canadian Pacific Railway.
The photograph is one of the most famous in Canadian history, but there is so much more to the story of the Last Spike than the photo shows.

Second he was fined, forced to do remedial training and made sure he understood what he did was wrong and how to behave correctly. Finally if he errs again he’s finished. @brianlilley This is such a hurtful statement. My brother lived in encampment and died in one from a fentanyl OD . Since the age of 21 he bounced from one psych ward to another in Toronto, Brantford and Hamilton. He was mentally ill. When he was medicated he worked.
