Today, I met the great @WilliamShatner. I thought long and hard on what I would say…and I said…
“Everytime I am in trouble, I think about Kirk”
His response…”I think a lot about him too.”

@Connexinet Very poor way to treat customers. That's an epic fail.
"Don't like it? Ok. Cancel it yourself."
"On second thought, we will cancel for you."
@Hootsuite@HootSuite_Help Maybe I should also Tweet the CEO @TomKeiser and show him just how badly his customers are being treated.
Context. I have been a business, personal and professional user since Hootsuite came online. @Hootsuite_Help@HootCommunity@hootsuite. Please justify why a 102% increase is worth paying for LESS capabilities than the competitors.
News flash... It is not... #drophootsuite
@Hootsuite_Help@HootCommunity So instead of coming to an accomodation, you just simply schedule my cancellation. Your company sucks. Every customer should drop your service today.

@Connexinet And here is their latest response after they responded to me on Twitter. More of the same. They don't seem to give a damn...
#drophootsuite
@Hootsuite_Help@HootCommunity No. You actually DON'T understand the problem. I replied to your email refusing to pay the outrageous increase, that my original annual fee should be honored, or that I will start to move my accounts off Hootsuite. Support then replied with how to cancel my account, not caring.
@Connexinet You missed the context of what I said. I told them I was not paying the increased price...and if that they didn't continue to honor the original price, that I was going to start to migrate to a different platform.
They then replied with how to cancel my account.
@Connexinet@lplfoodnetwork@CapecciCom Well in that case, then you make Twitter integration a premium add-on or limit the volume that can be posted in a given day. Problem solved.
@Connexinet@lplfoodnetwork@CapecciCom Furthermore, rising costs of data and infrastructure can be offset. AWS is a dirt cheap platform and you can scale and expand at numerous levels. Sorry...but that argument is flawed and only proves my point that the platform could be streamlined to reduce capacity constraints.
@Connexinet@lplfoodnetwork@CapecciCom Hootsuite has a broad userbase that spans small and large organizations. I can understand possibly eliminating or further limiting free subscriptions...but squeezing juice out of a lemon that is already exhausted does not make fiscal sense for a platform that is more of the same
@Hootsuite_Help@lplfoodnetwork@CapecciCom@hootsuite@HootCommunity Twitter is not a secure enough for me to provide my contact information. Furthermore, I replied to your email about the price increase already. There are also many other users of your platform affected. Where do you get off increasing 102% for the same primitive platform?
@lplfoodnetwork@CapecciCom@hootsuite@HootCommunity Half as many customers using a platform that has not changed since 2008 versus the reputational damage coming from customers who have used the platform on and off for years being alienated by a 102% price increase? Sounds like the same thing Filmora did.
The sad part is, that @HootSuiteHelp is actually suspended. They have an account @Hootsuite_Help that you have to Tweet to in order to get an actual response from these jokers. Poorly run company and a primitive platform compared to the rest.
Giving perspective on the @Hootsuite increase, I pay for a professional account and my yearly cost is going up by 102% or to $1,188...for the same interface that has changed little since Hootsuite was started.
