@michaelgbaron Also nominally signed to play first base which he is currently incapable of relegating us to Young/Vientos/ Baty at first. Stearns wanted to prove anyone could play first. Would it have been any worse if Alonso would not be resigned to convert Nimmo and his 750 OPS to 1B or DH?

@ClubhouseCancer @Cubs Wilson Contreras was another free agent first baseman this past off season. Over 900 OPS this year. WTF did streams go after Polanco, for $40 million no less. That’s about the amount he claims to have “saved” dumping Nimmo for the fabulous Semien. What a dolt.

@pladinosaur If Peralta is traded and immediately goes back to pitching well, can we blame Stearns for the coaching staff he put together? Speculation, but would Peralta be this bad if Hefner was still pitching coach?

@bt_fll @DannyAbriano Or Baty could have played second for a lot less money (and similar OPS) or Ewing at second. Nimmo (or Soto) could DH with the other in left. Or make Nimmo a first baseman instead of the horrid Polanco. No need to give up plus 700 OPS for dog crap.
