@RailMinIndia@IRCTCofficial@SWRRLY@RailMadad@RailwaySeva Yesterday at Yeshwanthpur Railway Station, my wife, my 10-month-old baby and I had a deeply unpleasant experience at a railway canteen on Platform 5.
After the 11:40 train departed, we were having hot coffee at the canteen table. While I was holding my 10-month-old baby, one of the staff members, in a hurry to close the shop, brought cardboard boxes very close to where we were keeping the hot coffee. The box came dangerously close to my baby’s face and narrowly missed her. There was no request to move the coffee or any warning.
A short while later, while we were still holding the hot coffee on the table because it was too hot to carry, the same person began pulling down the shutter—without asking us to move, without informing us that the shop was closing, and without giving us even a moment to safely take the hot coffee. He started pulling the shutter down while looking at me, even though I was still holding the cup.
When I questioned the urgency, I was simply told, “Yes, it’s urgent.”
I took a photograph because I wanted to report the incident to the railway authorities. At that point, another person from inside the canteen, came out and approached me. His demeanour was extremely intimidating and confrontational, with an aggressive facial expression and manner while asking me what the problem was.
I explained what had happened. Instead of acknowledging the concern, I was told, “Small mistakes happen, sir. Please don’t make it a big issue.” I asked whether he would be okay if the same thing happened to his family. He said no and walked away.
If it were only two adults, perhaps one could dismiss this as poor customer service. But there was a 10-month-old baby in my arms, and hot coffee and cardboard boxes were being handled carelessly around her.
My questions to the railway authorities are simple:
Who operates this canteen and under what railway licence/contract?
What safety and customer-service standards are expected from such vendors?
Is this behaviour acceptable at a railway station?
Are staff trained to handle situations involving passengers, particularly families travelling with infants?
What action will be taken to ensure this does not happen to another passenger?
I request @RailMinIndia and @SWRRLY to please investigate this incident at Yeshwanthpur Railway Station, Platform 5, including the conduct of the staff members involved, and provide an explanation.
This isn’t about making a “small mistake” into a big issue. It is about basic courtesy, passenger safety and accountability—especially when an infant is involved.
@hellorameez@myntra@flipkartsupport Woh deliver nahi karega tab tak woh delivery agent ka man nahi lagega. Order Toh customer karega, lekin delivery, delivery agent ka decision hey. Delivery agent ko chahiye Toh, aap ka order aapko milega. 🤣🤣🤣
@myntra First train your delivery agents to respect customers and deliver/pickup packages/returns on time. Then you can post these things. If no one doesn’t know at home, your delivery agents pose a serious risk of conducting robbery/rape as they all are trained only to be goons.
Terrible experience with @amazonIN. Multiple CSR, false delivery promises, and calls abruptly ended. Had to cancel all plans just to get a package. Delivery depends on the agent’s mood, not service standards. Is this how loyal customers are treated? #AmazonFail
CSR agents spoken to since 17/05/25, incl. Rajesh, Ahmed, Premraj (hung the call saying he is the escalation team), Nikhila (hung the call saying that she provided the resolution of asking me to either wait for 24 hours or cancel the order), and Marina frm the last mile team.
@AmitAgarwal This seems staged 🤣 Didn’t except such cheap promotions from an international org like Amazon. Please ask the delivery agents to first complete their listed responsibilities and then they can go the extra mile!
@amazonIN@amazonIN was once a benchmark for their deliveries and other e-commerce companies were trying to replicate it. But now @amazonIN is at its worst in deliveries. Delivery partners mark the package as “attempted”. If you escalate, u get ur package, if not “return to seller”
@pulincholi@Flipkart@alluarjun@flipkartsupport Ha ha ha.. I’m a victim too of #TheBigBillionDays. Order’d a product, rec’d an “out for delivery” msg y’day n the delivery agent said that he can’t come y’day but today. Today it was a surprise, that i woke up to a msg saying that the order is cancelled.
