@cllrtrisosborne @MedwayTories@MedwayMessenger@Conservatives Residents on the Hoo Peninsula do not trust either parties on Medway Council to provide infrastructure. That wouldn’t change under a Labour administration and why residents should elect Local independent candidates in the two new wards on the peninsula
George Crozer is @medway_council's newest councillor after winning the last election to be fought under the current ward boundaries. On a turnout of 18.7%, the independent triumphed over the @MedwayTories' Harold Ogunfemi in Peninsula ward by 667 votes - a majority of 30%.
@Ed_Jennings Proposals to up rate transport infrastructure on the hoo peninsula are inadequate to sustain 10/12000 homes and new industry. Show us the transport assessment .
@NatashaSteer@Ed_Jennings The peninsula sits on one of the 5 migratory routes for wintering birds to and from the Artic and Africa. Birds winter here and are protected by Special Protection Area and other international designations building near them is restricted. https://t.co/gCFiz8dMkl
@king_gw@KellyTolhurst@highhalstowpc Also very concerned particularly for implications for protection of Hoo Peninsula with medway proposals for 12000 new homes and the inevitable increase in disturbance. Meeting RSPB this coming week @KellyTolhurst and
George Crozer (right), Michael Pearce (left) & Ron Sands (middle) – Independent candidates for Hoo & High Halstow Ward (inc. Chattenden) at the Medway Council local election in May 2023. George will also contest the Peninsula Ward by-election on Thursday 8th December 2022.
(1/2) Due to the forecasted hot weather we’ve put our heatwave Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (#SWEP) in place. We're visiting rough sleepers & providing advice on where they can find shelter during the hottest part of the day & giving them refillable water bottles.
@NatashaSteer@Ed_Jennings No !! A park threatens the Medway SPA by increasing access to the woodlands and agricultural land that provides excellent protection already. It’s time to scrap the HiF project!
