As part of the program of activities for the Deforestation in Nigeria Project funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, USA, a team of Researchers and students led by the HOD Geography Dept., Prof Chidi Nzeadibe conducted an extensive fieldwork at Olioma Opi , Nsukka LGA Enugu state.

The location is a 99.2 hectares of deforested land which being proposed as site for an international market.

Many lessons were learned in documentation of Deforestation in Nigeria Project.

🔍 GAPS is a groundbreaking study on return migration policies & cooperation dynamics. Profs. I. A. Madu, C. K. Ajaero, & their PhD student, Ngozi L. Uzoma, are part of this impactful project.
