@a_man_in_red The problem I see with this is that itnenshrines any kind of change as inherently good and anything old as inherently bad, as if it is dangerous just because it's old. As if culture was food that's going bad after a while.
I’ve seen people say they like to watch it in dub so that they can still know what’s going on without looking at the screen all the time and that’s just nuts to me. If you’re gonna decide to watch something why are you not giving it your full attention? Literally this meme
"If you get offended when men say 'all women' then yeah you count too."
I would like to bring attention to the fact this is a kafka trap. They're poisoning the well and redefining the terms of engagement so you can't win.
These people are what ostracization and shame is for.
They are okay with Pornhub, OnlyFans, Fansly, and Western spicy games. Same cards and same executives.
Then they attack targets: Steam, itch, DLsite, FANZA, Fantia, Melonbooks, and Pixiv FANBOX.
None of that was illegal. They said it was to protect children. What they actually target-attacked was legal adult art, games, and Japanese doujin.
This was never about child protection. It was about who is allowed to get paid.
Never forget.
Shota and Lolicon isn't pedohilia in the same way me wanting to fuck Lola Bunny isn't zoophilia.
And of you think it is. Then I commend you for remaining consistent in your inability to tell the difference between lines on paper with real live living beings.
Hey look it's censorship moving from sexual content to other content, like everyone with a brain said it would happen if people kept supporting the former censorship!
Figures!
@Zabbyanime@Leaflit What are you talking about? You called her an "old hag".
Also, no one asked you to show your face. What did you do that for and why do you keep dodging the one very reasonable question she asked?
What is wrong with you?
>watch a streamer play a game i like
>they keep yapping about shit nobody cares about and talking over the dialogue and story
>they proceed to complain about the game being confusing and story being bad
Banking access is pretty much a requirement to live in the modern world. The powers that be are 100% aware of that.
Unelected officials who oversee our largest payment processors and international banking giants hold so much power that not only are they able to compel censorship on fantasy and art platforms like Pixiv, Clipstudio paint, but they are also able to debank and restrict "problematic" people from access to financial services.
People like the Trump Family, Marine Le Pen, Nigel Farage... and hundreds more people have experienced debanking, where their bank access has been revoked, and their ability to buy and sell has been severely impacted.
You can disagree politically with these people all you want, but the fact of the matter is that this kind of authoritarian abuse of power by unelected officials doesn't land on just one party. Many others are on the other side of the camp, pro-Palestine supporters who have also been de-banked.
The problem is far worse than just problematic anime, fiction, stories, or illustrations that land in the world of taboo... It means that even powerful people can have their access to money restricted, and regular people like us would not be able to do anything if the international banking system came after us.
They are more powerful than sovereign nations when it comes to "managing their risk", being able to compel censorship from a nation full of journalists and artists... and the worst part about all of this is that all the "alternatives" have become regulated to death, making it impossible to escape from this situation.
Today, Japan's pixivFANBOX was forced to suspend the publication of a vast number of works due to intervention by payment service providers. The keyword-based censorship is utterly unreasonable; for instance, there are reports that content was flagged simply because the Japanese pronunciations of words like "calorie" and "terrorist" contain the sound "loli."
What makes this instance particularly notable is that the platform itself has explicitly cited "directives from payment service providers" as the reason for the censorship. In the past, Japanese businesses forced to implement such measures—likely to preserve their relationships—rarely disclosed the involvement of payment providers.
Intervention by payment service providers is threatening to destroy Japanese content culture in an unreasonable and uninformed manner. Neither Japanese creators nor consumers desire this outcome, yet this may not be an issue that can be resolved within Japan alone. We would be deeply grateful to address this challenge through information sharing and cooperation with interested parties around the world.
Their new rules are absurd. No assets can be made where "two characters have either their face or bodies 'overly close'"
You also cannot have assets where thighs are touched or where someone sits on someone else's lap.
And no violent expression.
Art is under attack.

There is a difference between I am a christian and this is how things work in my household
VS
I am a christian and this is how things are going to work in YOUR household.
Furthermore, you cannot start saying "the internet is my household" because the laptop is in my bedroom, so the internet falls under my domain and non-christians should cope and try to please me so i dont mess with them further.
