National Black Bear Day🐻ฅ՞•ﻌ•՞ฅ🐾⚫️🐻
National Black Bear Day, observed annually on June 6, is dedicated to raising awareness about black bears, their habitats, and the importance of wildlife conservation. The day celebrates one of North America’s most recognizable and adaptable mammals while encouraging people to learn about bear behavior, environmental stewardship, and responsible coexistence with wildlife.
Black bears have long captured human fascination because of their intelligence, strength, adaptability, and ecological importance. Despite their widespread presence in forests, mountains, wetlands, and other habitats, many misconceptions about black bears continue to exist. National Black Bear Day provides an opportunity to replace myths with facts and promote greater understanding of these remarkable animals.
The observance also highlights the challenges black bears face, including habitat loss, human-wildlife conflicts, and environmental changes. Through education and conservation efforts, National Black Bear Day helps foster appreciation and protection for black bear populations.

Namugongo: Africa's Largest Martyrs' Shrine and Uganda's Premier Faith-Based Tourism Destination
Today, on Martyrs' Day, we honor the enduring legacy of the 45 Uganda Martyrs — men of profound conviction who, between 1885 and 1887, laid down their lives at Namugongo for their faith.
From a tourism perspective, the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine attracts over half a million pilgrims and international visitors annually. The shrines stand as a powerful case study in the potential of religious and heritage tourism across the continent.

The Shoe-Form Cave at Chepkui Waterfall—Sipi Falls' second and most dramatic cascade (65–75m) offers more a photo op and perspective.
Part natural, part salt mine carved by locals, this formation allows you to walk safely behind the curtain of water. The payoff: a frame-worthy view of the falls, a powerful cross-breeze, and a quiet respect for those who once mined this rock to keep livestock alive.
Travad Tours Uganda doesn't just show you waterfalls. We put you inside them. Book the experience with us today.

Whoever said June stands for growth, reflection, and fresh energy… I hope it’s slowly making sense for you too.
Through the work at @TreescapeOrg and @TravadToursUg, I’m reminded that growth is often quiet before it becomes visible.

Some places are difficult to reach for a reason. They guard their beauty in the distance🤗
La Fang Eco Resort on Dolwe Island (locally known as Lolwe Island) is one such place. The resort sits within the island's natural environment—rock formations, lake breeze, hidden caves, geological wonders, and ancient silence.
La Fang Eco Resort is a base for explorers, investors, and dreamers who believe that Uganda's greatest tourism potential lies off the map.
