@Beth_Baldwin My son was diagnosed with tonsillitis, then 3 days later he was in severe dka. Really can’t see any justification in not doing a simple finger prick at the gp surgery. Why is it so hard for them to do routinely.

Its #DiabetesWeek2020 we lost Peter to undiagnosed Type1 Diabetes 2015, the onset was masked by chest infection. Please be vigilant, learn the signs #4Ts if any doubt insist on an instant finger prick test, time is critical & saves lives. #KnowType1 #ForDude 💙 @DiabetesUKCymru
