@taylorotwell I don't get it. if QUEUE_CONNECTION is 'failover' and it's used in the 'default' key of the config, then in the connections array, 'failover' is also pointing to itself which is not a connection per se, but should be something like 'redis' or 'database'. Or am I wrong?

@Valuable @artillain @_trish_xD Firebase is a service, PHP is a language. I think you are mixing things. Languages give you total freedom, these services have made decisions. You can mess it up in any language and that's why there are standards, frameworks and libraries have been created.
