They're basically prepping us for that in interviews. "Dr who comes and goes", "maybe Dr who needs a rest" etc

They've moved the spin off to next year to keep the yearly output promise because they know there'll be nothing. Disney will walk and it'll take years to find a new streamer. 2027 Christmas special at the earliest.
