Adamu Garba II has condemned the statement attributed to Sheikh Yahaya Jingir, describing it as insensitive and provocative—if the reported statement is accurate.

He stressed that Nigeria has no “arna” and no “kafirai.” What Nigeria has are friends, families and neighbours who are Christians—people who are valued, loved and an important part of the same society.

“They are us, and we are them.”

Garba warned against using religion as a weapon for political advantage, stressing that Nigeria’s strength lies in unity, trust, cooperation and creating opportunities together.

His message is simple: any statement, regardless of who makes it, that seeks to divide Nigerians along religious lines should be firmly rejected and condemned.

In a country already facing serious challenges, division is the last thing Nigeria needs.
