@javeedsukhera Hands up for those of you already exhausted and fully aware of the impacts on mental health following the collective trauma that is Covid-19. There is no health without mental health.
Found myself ranting and raving at the dinner table last night over Covid restrictions and online learning! Caught myself, took a step back and let my family know I’m struggling with it all. It’s okay to not be okay. #MentalHealthMatters#collectivetrauma
@CarlDunnJr Mindfulness for sure and tending to vulnerability factors. When I don’t take care of myself it’s much harder to use skills. Talking to people going through similar changes can support accepting change but some days are easier than others. Trying to have more self compassion.
@CarlDunnJr Being reminded that connection and belonging to supportive people helps to normalize difficult emotions and move through change even when we resist it or when it hurts. Also self validation of feelings, especially the tough ones!
@CarlDunnJr@xmdmazingx Mindfulness is such an importance skill for this type of “stepping back” and self reflection. Can be so exhausting in relationships and connection
