Rippling AI Lab is now live in Bengaluru!
Our new AI engineering hub is focused on building trusted AI for businesses, from agents and models to the infrastructure, evaluations, and sandboxing.
Bengaluru has been central to Rippling’s engineering story from the beginning. Rippling AI Lab will help shape the next generation of AI-powered business software.
Today, @Rippling is launching IT Helpdesk, an AI agent that automatically resolves the most tedious IT support issues.
Like, "can u reset my password plz"
And, "I need a Figma license"
And, "spilled coffee on my laptop :(" 🧵
@Rippling also launched this today: an MCP server that executes code. Very clever architecture, and way more useful than just wrapping pre-existing APIs.
Today, @Rippling launched the Rippling AI Slackbot, so you can sorta treat Rippling like you treat @Grok on X... tag it to get the truth, hand off work, and do research.
Rippling AI is #1 in G2’s first-ever AI Agent for HR report, based entirely on customer reviews from people actually using it every day.
Turns out customers want AI that delivers traceable answers, respects permissions, and actually does the work. Not just half-baked guesses, but reliable results that save hours of manual work.

Aloha! 🌺Introducing Ornith-1.5, a family of open-source LLMs spanning 9B Dense, 35B MoE, and 397B MoE, trained with self-improving strategies.
It achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models of comparable size and delivers performance comparable to Claude Opus 4.8 across reasoning, agentic, and coding tasks:
✅Terminal-Bench 2.1 (86.1)
✅SWE-Bench (86 on verified, 65.1 on pro, 79.6 on Multilingual)
✅DeepSWE (56)
✅HLE (44.6)
✅ClawEval (81.4)
✅Tool Decathlon (71.2)
Ornith-1.5 takes a major step toward training foundation models through end-to-end self-improvement, extending the self-scaffolding strategies introduced in Ornith-1.0 into a more complete self-improvement loop: the model proposes new tasks, generates task-specific scaffolds, and produces solution rollouts for reinforcement learning, continuously creating new learning experiences from which it can improve.
All models, along with their quantized versions (FP8, GGUF, MLX, and NVFP4), have been released under the MIT License, enabling unrestricted commercial and research use.

Today, @Rippling launched our AI governance suite! Big payload: MCP Gateway, AI Gateway, Agent Identity Management, and Shadow AI Detection. This all works better on Rippling because we understand worker identities.
👉 You do not need a separate product to do this. :)
Jensen Huang on "distillation"
On his new interview with axios, he was asked this question
"Should open source model companies be allowed to distill closed models"
"Distillation—learning from AI, learning from other people, and learning from other sources of knowledge, is fundamental to intelligence.
We are constantly learning from other people. I am learning from you through the questions you are asking, and you are learning from me. All day long, we are learning from one another. AI also has to learn from something.
The original AI models, whether they were open or closed, were trained on previously created knowledge from the internet. Now, AI is generating more content than humans. In a few more years, the internet could be 99% AI-generated content, and that content will have been created by some form of AI.
As a result, AI systems will constantly be distilling knowledge and intelligence from other AI systems. The fact that AI can learn is a good thing. We want AI systems to be intelligent because a smarter AI can also be a safer AI."

US embassy for a visit to America:
Prove you are an Indian citizen, prove you work, pay taxes, have money, have relatives or business in the US, give reference letter, attach all IDs, and fill this form with 100 questions, get appointment next year, stand in line since 4 AM...
People: Yes Sir. I am your sepoy, sir. I will do all you ask, sir. Please give me visa, sir.
ECI:
Let's verify you as an eligible voter to safe guard Indian democracy. Here's a pre-filled form. We will send someone to your home to help you do it. Or you can do it anytime before next elections, including online.
People: ECI & SC have made life so difficult. This is unacceptable! They should answer me, now!
The dura is the brain's armor: a membrane so tough that a surgeon normally cuts through it with a scalpel. For the first time in our clinical trials, we inserted the electrode threads of our implant straight through the dura and into the cortex, keeping the dura intact.
Here's how we did it 🧵
Founders step on every rake in the garden trying to figure out the Valley. I know, because my forehead is full of rake marks. I decided to interview some of the best investors about where the rakes are hidden in a new series called First Principles, starting with @saranormous.
Onboarding for NRIs has always been a pain. Right now, the FCNR deposit scheme is a total no-brainer: the RBI is bearing the currency hedging bill, allowing you to get local, FD-like rates while your money stays in dollars with zero rupee risk.
But despite how good the scheme is, it doesn't help if opening an account takes 60 days. By the time the paperwork clears, the window might have closed, or the NRI may have lost interest.
@rupeeflo, a @Rainmatterin-backed startup, is trying to solve this problem. They've partnered with leading banks to slash that 60-day onboarding down to just 24 hours, covering the bank account, trading account, demat, and the whole works.
It will be interesting to watch what happens to activation rates once friction is this low. Does removing the 60-day wait actually change NRI behavior, or does the inertia live somewhere else entirely?
We launched Rippling Data Cloud today - an all-in-one rebuild of the modern data stack, with AI deeply integrated throughout.
Why would you want an org-and-employee-centric data stack? Well, here’s how I used Rippling Data Cloud to help with token burn and cut AI slop. 1/

Rippling AI was the most successful launch we've ever done. On the heels of this launch, Rippling's revenue is now growing 78% YoY (at ARR over $1 Billion). And this growth rate has now increased, every quarter, for three straight quarters.
Good air, clean water, and food are fundamental to a good life. In that sense, they should be treated as fundamental rights.
But air quality has been steadily degrading, and it's not really part of the mainstream conversation. That needs to change. Right now, if you look at the site (link in comments), everything looks green. But as we get closer to the end of the year, things will start looking much worse.
Solving air pollution is hard, but the first step is simple: people need to know what they're breathing.
Right now, that's not possible. India does collect air quality data, but it's either locked away, too broad to tell you anything about your locality, or just not published at all. There's no single place a citizen can go to get a clear, neighbourhood-level picture.
So we set out to fix that.
Today, we're launching an open, pan-India air quality platform, built in partnership with leading organisations in the field. The goal: give citizens, schools, local governments, and communities direct access to the data that affects their daily lives.
At @RainmatterOrg , we've been committed to keeping this conversation alive, and this platform is our attempt at making that happen. All the data on the site is free and open, so others can build on top of it.
Rippling launched its AI analyst today. I'm not just the CEO - I'm also the Rippling admin for our co, and I run payroll for our ~ 5K global employees.
Here are 5 specific ways Rippling AI has changed my job, and why I believe this is the future of G&A software. 🧵 1/n
