Latest iteration on our internal tooling for managing hundreds of issues, PRs, and discussions. Months ago, I had @conductor_build & Claude scan our old issues and PRs, organize by group, learn my voice, and then respond. Long story short, we don't ship v6 without new tools.
This is the new dashboard @mdo and I use to triage everything open on Bootstrap. Agents analyze each issue, PR and discussion, draft the answer, and prepare a fix when needed. We still make every call.

@lyeuhm Aww sorry to hear. It's felt much nicer to know where to expect the sm, md, etc in the class name. For example, `.md:justify-center` vs `.justify-md-center`. Other utilities were even worse.
One of my favorite changes in Bootstrap 6 is token maps. They’re Sass maps for CSS variables that get emitted on component class or `:root`, meaning no matter how you customize Bootstrap (in Sass or compiled CSS), you’re just writing CSS. Stoked we came up with this solution.
🎉 Bootstrap 6 Alpha 1 is here! https://t.co/hAIsBLbSvI
For v5 folks, we'll be doing a v5.x release soon once we catch our breath. In the meantime, enjoy the new v6 hotness, new blog, and new icons, too!
Absolutely huge day today—Bootstrap 6 Alpha 1 has arrived! Refreshed design, updated docs, new components, new Sass/CSS approach, more modern frontend stack, updated tooling. https://t.co/7R2bb2lNyv
Bootstrap turned 15!
To celebrate, I'm happy to share that the first v6 alpha is coming soon! Buttoning up a few things and writing a lengthy blog post to highlight the new Sass+CSS approach, new components & plugins, new standards, new theming, and more. Stay tuned.
On August 19, 2011, Web developers Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton of Twitter began creating the CSS framework Bootstrap in mid-2011. The framework was originally developed to help maintain the HTML/CSS and JavaScript code consistency in Twitter applications.
The nostalgia seeing this homepage is crazy
I remember copy pasta’ing the ever living crap outta those three basic templates at the bottom of the page
In many ways, bootstrap kicked off the modern SV dev scene as we know it. Design system w/ variables, components, etc. It took the ecosystem the following 9 years of the decade to fully flesh these core ideas out with things like React, storybook, etc
@fat@mdo are goated. Also, honored to have stackblitz powering the live examples on the bootstrap site the past years!

Oh, and we have new colors! First, there are more named colors in here—like violet, amber, lime, brown, and pewter. And there are more tints and shades—025, 050, 950, and 975 values are here for every color.
Lots of happenings lately for v6's development!
One new idea is to move from component-specific modifiers to global ones. Take this example—use `.theme-primary` on all components, or on a parent, and even override where needed.
Also, spot the new button variants? 👀
These theme modifiers are generated from the new theme colors map we've been building. Looks a little wild, but the use of CSS's `light-dark()` color function makes these also immediately adaptive to OS color modes.
Would you prefer a v5 breaking change to support Sass modules (drop Node Sass, modify imports, iron out a few customizing issues)? Or a jump right to v6?
@htmgarcia Haha, we don't WANT to do it, but wanted to ask community a bit to see if enough people were pushing for say Sass modules. It's a bit effort, and we want folks to be able to modernize with ease sooner than later.
@piq9117 Wanted to ask given the time that's transpired since v5 was started and all the Sass changes :). My gut has leaned towards v6, but we expect v6 to be a shortlived version so that it's more upgradable sooner.
