@b_cuse_ We spent like three months trying to make utilization rate targets that take PTO, PD, business dev into account lol. Idk we view it as one of many metrics that can point to success or not but I’m curious how important they are at other firms
Facts, research, national case studies don't matter when it comes to infrastructure in Dundee. Influential people with money matter. And they organized well.
Mode Shift is sad that Farnam won't be a two way street.
@CarFreeMidwest Another faction is pro-roundabout but “just not here.” It’s flashbacks to transit oriented development when neighbors liked the ideas of pedestrian scale apartments and ADUs, just not in Dundee. Giving “not in my backyard.”
@SchmeghanRusso 100% - those t-bone accidents are so much more deadly for drivers and pedestrians. Plus when people run red lights they are driving SO fast.
I’m pro roundabout, especially given the new development that wil occur at UNMC. This section of Farnam is residential, and infrastructure should prioritize pedestrians. Roundabouts slow traffic compared to four way lights, full stop.
Mode Shift supports the roundabouts on Farnam Street. ✅ We encourage members and elected leaders to support resolution 48 tomorrow at City Council.

@craigmoody So many good answers but I’ll stay in the neighborhood at 37th and Center - great housing for the VA and upcoming business district on Center right across from the Field Club. #WelcomeNeighbors
Fun interview at @PlanningOmaha's open house last night. Omaha needs abundant housing. 🏘️
"Thomas said she'd like to see the city allow for more townhouses, duplexes, and multi-family homes, as opposed to single-family units. She wants to see these ideas put into action."
The City of Omaha is giving residents a chance to speak their minds on how it should move forward on a proposed solution. #Omaha#Nebraska

Actual question: Why are climate advocates resistant to including smart growth policies as a part of their toolkits? How do we make the connection clearer between transportation emissions and housing?
@RockyMtnInst's Ben Holland says that urban infill is the No. 1 strategy for reducing American VMT emissions by the needed 20% and is a strategy heavily overlooked by the climate advocacy community.
