@spideykyuu @imkissingkookie @eternalbrook it’s someone making a jokey generalized tweet about fics overusing italics it’s not ops fault everyone decided to be insecure weenies over it

[grits @getthembees]

@imkissingkookie @eternalbrook @spideykyuu dawg if you don’t like the writing advice then don’t apply it to your writing it’s not that deep

[clara @clarafables]

nothing humbles you like rereading your old writing and realizing the person who wrote it doesn't live here anymore. the sentences used to arrive on their own. now you chase every word. that voice is gone, and you're the one who spent it.

@BatO8319 When they try to make Tim “dukes robin” as if Duke has ever in one million years cared about Tim drake

[grits @getthembees]

@BatO8319 @sp0ileral3rt_ They read*

[grits @getthembees]

@BatO8319 @sp0ileral3rt_ Can confirm the first one has read none of his comics. The second one said they read many of his comics though which is deeply shocking to me . Like maybe they just don’t know bruce thrn if they think that. Or theyd was with their eyes closed. Or they’re lying

[grits @getthembees]

@sp0ileral3rt_ @BatO8319 It’s a combo of ppl believing that fanon bs and also them knowing so little about duke that they don’t know that bruce has known him for like 8 years and he wasn’t even a meta that entire time

[grits @getthembees]

Resd a fic once where every single line of dialogue was italicized whwn the characters were arguing it was so irritating

[jerrycumfumble @eternalbrook]

I am advising fic writers as kindly as possible to step away from the italics

[grits @getthembees]

@AzaleaKaz Literaly he has 197 issues as robin which is nearly 100 more than he has as signal lkke saying he’s robin is simply not a stretch at all ever

[grits @getthembees]

every time someone includes carrie as a robin and not duke I start killing and eating

@nahor0602 Like at that point there’s no saving you and you have to die . Sorry it must be done

[grits @getthembees]

banger

[grits @getthembees]

JLA doing that narration setting name drop with NJ but spelling it “new joisey…” and that’s really dumb but it did make me laugh

[grits @getthembees]

And if u include jarro over him I literally will block for that shit I’m not playing. I will hate you with the fury of a thousand suns

[grits @getthembees]

literally 0 reason to not include him. Not only is he just straight up a Robin in We are Robin etc he also narratively fulfills the role in shit like Batman Superheavy. He’s also a “traditional” Robin in elseworlds which is the same shit Carrie is.
