Narrative based trading is just storytelling with extra steps.
Data-backed strategies will always win.
Edge Lab takes your setup, tests thousands of versions, removes the curve fit garbage, and shows you what actually works.
Prop firms don't care if you would've been profitable with more size.
They care if you can operate inside a constraint set without blowing up.
TradeStar lets you journal against the eval rules, not just your P&L. Survive the firm. Build an edge you can take with you.
You can be net profitable and still fail a prop eval.
The constraint isn't your edge. It's max drawdown, daily loss limits, consistency rules.
Generic journals track profit. Prop-aware journaling tracks behavior against the actual rule set you're being measured on.
If your strategy is truly objective, it makes sense. Never miss an opportunity. Take each one equally, mechanically. Don't spend all day say Infront of the charts (unless you want to), execute faster.
I did this went from 7am - 5pm at the charts to no like 30mins a day and im more profitable/consistent.
Its a game of objectivity, with most strategies providing too much retrospective / hindsight subjectivity to blame the user not the strategy - ICT front and centre on this!
@casper_smc Its not just about journalling. Its about journalling right. Do the hard work, end of day report, understand what worked and what didn't, be honest. Grow and improve.
@OptionsFlowLLC The plan is easy to write down, but sticking to it when the P&L starts moving is the real test. Most traders fail not because the strategy is bad, but because their discipline is.
Fair challenge. The point isn't more information โ it's less tabs showing the same information badly.
