The world is a little darker today. Dr. Siegfried was hands down my favorite college professor and she changed my life for the better. Never had I been challenged as hard while also being loved and encouraged. I send love and prayers to her family and friends.

Expectations are resentments under construction: set the expectations bar as low as you can! Write badly for an hour! Try not to hit any pedestrians; fill up at the gas station and then take the nozzle out of the gas tank before driving off. I think we are doing AMAZINGLY well.

I’m trying to write, which means I am stopping every few minutes to make dentist, plumbing and tax appointments for next month, obsessing about how much my back hurts, and googling spinal menangitis. Then I work on a few sentences, until starvation kicks in. A person’s gotta eat!
