@mulegirl Cute socks Rupert!

FYI: Iโm not following a lot of people meaningfully, and youโre the only one not on Mastodon. Not trying to โconvert you into the new religionโ, just wanted to say Iโll miss the Rupert photos when I make my switch :)
@MrAlanCooper Sheesh, no. Musk made a terrible business decision. Do not bail him out.
There are plenty of other social media, and even (gasp) traditional media.
Try Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Mastodon, Discord, Reddit.
@msrebeccabirch@thomaschattwill Good point!
Same goes for educators, I guess. If you get a teacher from the lower quartile, it makes sense students complain about getting low grades with high effort work.
I once had a German teacher grade me with a -7 on a scale of 1-10. Only the native German student got a 6
@msrebeccabirch@thomaschattwill I just saw you are a teacher on your profile: you obviously will know more about this than I do.
Please also tell me if Iโm wrong :)
@msrebeccabirch@thomaschattwill Only if the reports measure the right things. And they not always do.
Grading is hard. Keeping studentsโ motivation up is also hard.
If you have a course where hardworking students get low grades, you are teaching and/or grading wrong. Youโll lose their motivation
Wtf is going on here. Is he making fun of his actual employees? Or did he hire actors and is he using them to fun of his actual employees?
Which parallel universe are we in?
@CGLambdin This insight is a piece of the puzzle I was missing.
I instinctively knew something like this was the case, but could not articulate it. Thanks!!
Tip voor de feestdagen!

โEverything, everywhere and all at onceโ was a blast of a movie. I was entertained from start to finish. Humor, action, depth, excitement. Great acting. Great vfx, great story. Whatโs not to like?
@hobdaydesign hahaha, yeah :)
Cialdini is known for his "laws of persuasion", and Fogg has some behavioral models and also stuff on persuasion. I noticed some overlap especially on the points "clarity", "tension between novel and familiar", "beauty is important"
