New candidate for worse customer support @oculus @OculusSupport Get Oculus Quest with a broken controller. Spend days on email with support. Return days we might get refurbished one. And, I have to send the piece of junk back, wait for processing, before getting it.

I built a bot. And, it was super easy. Anyone else played with the Microsoft Health Bot? Wondering why they didn’t use the bot builder for that in other products.

@bpmccullough @ScotHillier @c_f_johnson I don’t think the contact card can be modified. What we’ve done with a bunch of clients is build a custom people search/finder WebPart. Placed that on pages to show contacts for certain divisions/etc. Then we control the UI and can create things that mimic those cards.

@bpmccullough I don’t know how to hook into SharePoint to do that. I’d just use JavaScript the old fashion way to do it myself (and deploy through SPFx)

@bpmccullough I don’t do custom fonts with SPO Modern for the exact reasons you mentioned. I tell my clients that’s not supported yet and it’s too risky. Technically it could be done. I’m just scared it messes up an MS WebPart, header, etc. Not worth the risk.

@bpmccullough In this particular case it was the new audience targetting features. But, could be anything new that comes out. New stuff comes out all the time.

@bpmccullough I just talk through it and give the history of how most problems in old SharePoint was because of the customizations. So, Microsoft made a strategic decision to limit those. But, by doing that they created a much better, modern platform that looks great without needing to change

@bpmccullough With modern sites I try not to customize like I use to. Very different approach. I try to use what’s available. So, I use the theming to change the colors. To make pages look good I use sections and webparts with a lot of background colors. One issue - can’t change font

@bpmccullough Agreed. I have a client right now with one of these types of products. They read about a new feature of SPO and asked me about it. I looked into it and we couldn’t use it because they were all in on their product. So, you have to be careful of that.
