Takla Kher, Vimal Devgn, Canadian Kumar, Panama Bachchan,Khan bros etc...The vocal Bollywood is not just silent, but occasionally works as an active amplifier of the govt propaganda.
But this isn't a reflection upon the film industry or the leaders of automobiles and other industries, who were earlier very vocal on social & political issues.
Their silence is a reflection upon the inflated ego of an ageing joker. The one who tries to portray that one who criticises his work & policies, is a threat to the nation.
It's not easy to speak up in a namesake democracy, when you are wealthy and famous, Some Income tax irregularities, a few yards of unauthorized construction, an old court case, a new FIR, you never know what will hit you next. Or even online harassment of your closed ones by the paid dogs of the ministries, could demoralise & silence you.
Also for most of them, it pays well to ride along with the power, they get endorsements, promotions, awards, rewards for being active partners in their propaganda projects. And if you are just silent, they let you live, you survive like a harmless lizard.
@Amul_Coop, BJP we can understand but why are you celebrating @elonmusk being a trillionaire or whatever ? Next level boot licking
