I've come to lean pretty heavily on the Common Lisp type system and the SBCL type inferencer.
Lisp types can be very specific e.g. "number <= 0."
SBCL infers types and checks the ones that are statically decidable then instruments runtime checks for the others. Quite lovely.

When you hand me an incident report and you list "training issues" as a root cause, you just told me that I need to pay MUCH CLOSER ATTENTION to management and the person that wrote this report.
