@TheAnfieldWrap@Knox_Harrington@Ian1892T@PhilBlundell If we assume the club is fine with not registering Endo and Chiesa in the Champions League squad (they could still be included in the PL squad), that would open up 3 spots, but a ways off from the 6 or 7 players that are often discussed as being required.
@TheAnfieldWrap@Knox_Harrington@Ian1892T@PhilBlundell One underdiscussed dynamic in the clubs recruiting acitivities is squad spot limitations (particularly under UEFA rules). If my math is correct. If we assume Ekitike is not registered in the Champions League squad, we only have 1 spot for a non-HG player without exits.
@Knox_Harrington Isn't the big issue here UEFA squad limit rules? As Leoni and Rio would both need to be registered with two of the 17 foreign senior professional spots (Rio isnt considered homegrown until 18), that really doesnt leave any room for bringing in additional non-homegrown players.
@EEmpathyx @stephen_leff@DiiamondFiire@ot_ford@trouble_man90 The way you worded it allows for serving a third non-consecutive term after serving two consecutive terms, which the language of the proposed amendment does not allow.
@danielcberk To be fair, they have had a couple test events, including a Love is Blind Reunion stream and the Roast of Tom Brady, not all of which went well.
@AnfieldSector I understood the earlier stories to be representing that La Real are unwilling to engage in this basic courtesy, and instead will make LFC and Zubimendi trigger the clause the hard way in accordance with his contractual language, which is news worthy in its own right.
@AnfieldSector My understanding is that in practice, of a buying club is willing to meet the release clause, the selling club will allow it to be structured as a sale, with the money going directly from the buying club to the selling club as a courtesy to simplify the logistics.
@danielcberk I don't think it is "technology" that we are addicted to per se. Technology allows for the more rapid consumption of media and social interactions that have more or less always existed. Technology is better viewed as facilitating addiction.
