Sony et Microsoft affirment qu'ils ne sont pas obligés de rembourser les joueurs après l'affaire des tarifs américains !

Après Nintendo, Sony et Microsoft se retrouvent visés par des recours collectifs aux États-Unis. Pour remettre du contexte : les fabricants avaient augmenté certains prix à cause des droits de douane sur les produits importés de Chine, mais après avoir obtenu des remboursements de plusieurs centaines de millions de dollars de ces taxes de l'administration Trump qui s'étaient avérées illégales, ils n'ont ni réduit leurs prix ni compensé les acheteurs.

Des consommateurs estiment donc avoir payé trop cher consoles et accessoires, mais Sony et Microsoft demandent le rejet des plaintes, affirmant que les clients ont accepté le prix affiché lors de leur achat. Nintendo avait affirmé la même chose en juillet.

"Payer le juste prix du marché pour des biens de consommation achetés volontairement n'est en fait pas un préjudice juridiquement reconnaissable”, ont écrit les avocats de PlayStation lundi 31 août.

First, we sincerely apologize for the confusion and concern caused by our previous explanation of the measures taken against abnormal gameplay, in which we did not provide sufficient details regarding the standards and criteria used to determine violations.

Through this incident, we have come to recognize that simply imposing sanctions is not enough to resolve our Commanders' concerns. We also take seriously the fact that we failed to sufficiently explain what measures had been taken.
