Ok all joking and memes aside, it is fairly clear to me what happened with this

The WNBA sent all the teams the potential playoff hold dates a year ago and Atlanta let it slip thru the cracks until the playoffs

I actually can sort of even understand this because remember what was happening a year ago - everything was chaos and no one even knew if there was going to be a playoffs at all, easy to imagine a situation where Atlanta let this one slip

Then when it became clear that Atlanta was not only going to make the playoffs but that they could potentially make a finals run they checked the calendar at State Farm and, whoops it was booked

At that point they went to Cathy and were like, fix it for us - which, since the problem was NBA related you would think they might be able to do something

But Cathy was completely asleep at the wheel and has been all season, and the league office was like, this is your mess, you fix it

And no one did until literally yesterday

And now people are playing hot potato with the blame

Sorry Atlanta, no matter who you try to blame this one is on you
