They now pay $100 per month to rent the tent, which provides limited protection from cold and heat and has no electricity at night. Sajad suffers from bladder problems that require intravenous treatment twice a week, costing approximately $400 per month, while she continues her university studies despite her pregnancy and health challenges. Majd experiences severe chronic sinus issues but cannot afford treatment, prioritizing his family's needs. Their daughter requires diapers and milk regularly, along with new warm clothes as she grows. The family relies on soup kitchens for food when available, but inconsistent access often forces them to purchase supplies from the market, which they struggle to afford with no income. They lack basic items such as furniture, mattresses, blankets, medicine, and preparations for the newborn, and they face daily hardships including fetching clean water from distant locations and lighting fires for warmth.
