The dangers of following PAS9980:2026 for post Grenfell remediations exposed by Lib Dem Housing Spokesman @GideonJAmos and @AlPinkerton in parliament.

- It condemns people to permanently high insurance and is rejected by the ABI.
- Allows highly combustible material banned on new buildings to remain on existing buildings (RAQ example).
- Allows completely opposing fire engineering conclusions to both be true.
- Encourages multiple remediations instead of fixing all the defects in one go.
- Eliminates the need to check if defects breached building regulations at the time of construction.

We must oppose this appalling remediation guidance from becoming law in the Remediation Bill which the government states is their intention as part of their Remediation Plan.
