just watched "rainbow girls".
a fun short film about three black trans women planning a heist targeting high-end boutiques. it's based on a true story. and touches upon racism, queerness, poverty, and capitalism.+

“She died. She can’t come back, even if you keep her stuffed away in a drawer you can’t look at. You’re not waiting for her resurrection; you’ve made yourself her mausoleum.” #tlt#thelockedtomb#griddlehark#tltfanart
The Philippines is a world capital for the animation industry, yet most of the world has no idea about it because they get paid spare change per frame.
THE LOVERS, a 🏳️🌈🇵🇭 dark sapphic short film set in Binondo is premiering at Annecy film fest this week
Afterwards, they will release it FREE ON YOUTUBE!
“I must no longer accept,” she said slowly, “being a stranger to you.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” said Gideon, sudden sweat prickling the back of her neck, “yes you can, you once told me to dig myself an ice grave. Stop before this gets weird.”
i feel gideon is mischaracterized by the whole “golden retriever butch” thing…. she’s a rottweiler or something she and harrow both like to play dirty… they’re both quick to violence…. this isn’t to say rottweilers are actually violent but rather it’s a better canine shorthand
i love when a movie just feels evil. like you can feel that the director probably embedded a curse into the frames that’s going to summon a demon upon finishing the movie
All my friends are femmes and studs and butches and trans girls and mascs and trans men and lesbians and gay men who are kinda non binary djs and latinos
