The commemoration of the International Day of Action for Women’s Health!!!
Today, we join women, girls, activists, civil society organisations, health practitioners, policy makers, cultural and religious leaders, and development partners across the world in amplifying the call for #accessible, #equitable, and #quality #healthcare for all women and girls.
This year’s commemoration reminds us that women’s health is not a privilege, but a fundamental human right. Yet many women and girls continue to face systemic barriers that limit their access to sexual and reproductive health services, safe motherhood, information, and bodily autonomy.
These barriers are often reinforced by harmful social norms, stigma, discrimination, poverty, and restrictive policies that disproportionately affect vulnerable and marginalised communities.
As we gather here today, we reaffirm our collective #commitment to advancing #women’s health rights, promoting dignity, and ensuring that no woman or girl is left behind.
This International Day of Action for Women’s Health,we raise our voices for accessible, equitable and dignified healthcare for every woman and girl everywhere.
Join the movement !!!

Asante Mama💜
Not just today, but for every day you showed up when no one was watching. Every meal, every prayer, every sacrifice dressed as routine.
Happy Mother's Day to every mother out there!
You are the foundation.

#WorldNGODay recognizes civil society’s role in advancing rights & strengthening systems
Our work is to expand SRHR access, support SGBV survivors & advance economic empowerment
We value our partner NGOs & remain committed to the communities we serve
#AmplifyRuralCommunities
#WorldNGODay2026, we reaffirm our commitment to restoring respect through inclusion. As an organization, we work to advance gender equality and inclusion, promote climate action, strengthen economic empowerment, and support health and nutrition for our communities
By supporting the woman trader in Kakamega, you support her children's education, her household's nutrition & her community's resilience
It's time to stop treating the informal sector as a "survival strategy" & start building it into the thriving economic engine it already is.
Empowering Kakamega's economy means we need structural shifts:
✅ SimplE, affordable business licensing
✅ Banks recognizing Chama savings records as valid social collateral
✅ Clear, enforceable protections against predatory lending and enforcement harassment
Women in Matungu gathered, spoke & were heard.
Conversations on #BodilyAutonomy, contraception access, GBV response/referrals & their lived realities.
Every woman deserves the right to make decisions about her own body. No exceptions💜

She's up before dawn. Sells all day. Goes home with less than she's owed.

International Women's Day isn't just a celebration of how far we've come, it's also a demand for how far we still need to go!
Rights. Justice. Action. Not as a theme. As a standard.💜 #IWD2026#AmplifyRuralCommunities
We marked #IWD2026 alongside @KakamegaCounty, partners & community united under the theme: Give to Gain.
Celebrating women isn’t ceremonial, It’s a declaration that the work continues, together, beyond the day
Thank you to every person who showed up💜

What needs to happen now:
→ 3% maternal health budget ring-fencing FULLY utilised
→ Hub facilities upgraded in every sub-county
→ CHPs supported, trained, compensated
→ Quality audits, not just headcounts
The data is clear. The question is who is listening?
SRHR is not a niche issue.
It is a human rights issue.
Until every woman regardless of location, income, or disability can access safe reproductive healthcare, the work continues💜
