Manchester City's owners artificially inflated the club's commercial revenue by £830 million ($1.1 bn) between 2009 and 2018, the Independent Commission found during the Premier League hearing into the 115 charges for serious financial breaches.
The Abu Dhabi-owned club were found guilty of all 115 charges by the Commission with Premier League CEO Richard Masters saying City "systematically broke Premier League rules for nearly a decade."
If Man City are only stripped of their titles and have no future facing consequences, what’s to stop clubs like Villa and Newcastle who have loads of money from deliberately doing the same thing, raising their revenue, and then continuing on with an increased FFP cap after any titles have been stripped? The Premier League better not mess this up. They need to be sent down.
