@naval Hi Naval, looking to dive into computer programming. Going to buy art of computer programming. No experience in the field. Don't know what specific field I want to do.
30 years old work with a stockbroker. What's your suggestions for best approach?
THE BEST PODCASTS AND ARTICLES I'VE EVER FOUND
Here are the 0.1% of resources I've consumed that have brought me 90% of the value.
The LINDY LIBRARY.
I wish somebody gave me these in a list so I could have spent more time exploiting than exploring.
THREAD...
A Must!
+ Arithmetic didn't initially develop for scientists, but for traders/accountants
+ Before 1930 Mathematics was about the real world. Then it got concerned with abstraction
+ Texts hide experiments in math leading to theorems. Ramanujan did experimental math. Even Euler.
Society is being destroyed by schools and college teachers. Your children are indocrinated by people who are doing what they are doing because of their limited intellect and practical skills.
And the costs TO YOU of such indocrination are ballooning.
@nntaleb@EconTalker You should seriously reconsider this, there is serious depth to speaking with @joerogan . I think this would add an angle not currently covered. Throw @naval and @ericweinstein in to get you over the line.
Never allow unsollicited advice from friends.
Every time someone gave me a "friendly advice" on 1) writing style, 2) trading strategy, 3) How I should not be weightlifting, 4) Why I shd be nice to Monsanto, etc., I'm glad I did opposite.
Be stubborn.

One needs to translate ρ into information.
See how ρ= ½ is much closer to 0 than to a ρ=1. Yuuge diff betw .9 & .99

IQ testing is like making cars compete in a racetrack, and use it to make claims about their ability to cross a dense forest (with unpaved roads) such as the Amazon.
Warren Buffett said the difference between successful people and really successful people
is that really successful people say no to almost everything.
Truth!
But not always easy.
So here's the SECRET TO SAYING NO—
you’re actually saying YES! to something more important.
