Today, in Gandhinagar, the Viksit Gujarat Data Center Policy was launched under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Shri @Bhupendrapbjp Ji.

Aligned with visionary initiatives of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, Digital India and Viksit Bharat @ 2047, this landmark policy will strengthen Gujarat’s position at forefront of the global digital economy and accelerate its emergence as a preferred destination for next-generation digital infrastructure, innovation and technology investments.

Today, Gujarat has taken a defining step toward powering the Digital India initiative.

Inspired by the visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi, we proudly launched the 'Viksit Gujarat Data Center Policy 2026-2029' today at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.

This first-of-its-kind dedicated policy is a landmark milestone aiming at making Gujarat a global hub for cloud, AI, and world-class data infrastructure.

Our unique value proposition lies in a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates high-speed connectivity, skilled talent, and our national leadership in renewable energy. This allows us to champion the development of hyperscale green AI data centers that are as sustainable as they are secure.

મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીએ આ અવસરે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ડિજિટલ ટ્રાન્સફોર્મેશનના આ યુગમાં સૌથી મહત્વની પાયાની બાબત ડેટા છે અને ડેટા જ વિકસિત ભારતના આર્થિક વિકાસનો નવો આધાર બની રહ્યો છે. તેમણે માનનીય વડાપ્રધાન શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદીના નેતૃત્વમાં ભારત વિશ્વમાં સૌથી મોટો ડેટા યૂઝર અને વર્લ્ડ ક્લાસ ડિજિટલ ઇન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચરની અનેક તકો ધરાવતો દેશ બન્યો હોવાનું જણાવી, આ નવીન પોલિસી થકી ભવિષ્યમાં ઊભી થનારી ડેટા સેન્ટર્સની માંગને પહોંચી વળવા અને રાજ્યમાં ડિજિટલ ઇકોનોમીને વધુ મજબૂત બનાવવાની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીએ ગુજરાત ડેટા સેન્ટર પોલિસીથી થનારા લાભો વિશે તેમજ ગુજરાતના વણથંભ્યા વિકાસ વિશે સૌને માહિતગાર કર્યાં હતા અને આ પોલિસી માત્ર ગુજરાત જ નહીં, પણ દેશના ભવિષ્યના વિકાસને ગતિ આપવા સાથે ન્યૂ જનરેશન ડિજિટલ ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર ડેવલપમેન્ટને વેગ આપશે તેમજ ગુજરાતને દેશમાં ‘બેસ્ટ ડેસ્ટિનેશન ફોર ડેટા સેન્ટર’ તરીકે સ્થાપિત કરશે તેવો વિશ્વાસ વ્યક્ત કર્યો હતો.
