This thread is wild. Just reading the responses would make me automatically not want to be a Republican. Not because of what they believe, not because of what their party stands for, but because they’re the nastiest people I’ve ever encountered. Not that this thread is my first time encountering the little shits. But this is a particularly bitchy one. I went grocery shopping last night and everyone was smiling at each other, being kind and friendly. I realised I seriously need to take more breaks from places I’m likely to be surrounded by these pieces of human excrement. It ends up feeling like people actually behave that badly. Maybe you Republicans are just as disgusting and uncivilised in person. If so, I hope I never meet any of you. I can’t even entirely believe we’re the same species. You’ve got to be some sort of genetic throwback because your thought processes, your vocabulary, your English comprehension, and your understanding of basic psychology and sociology are either non-existent or deeply flawed. I wonder whether anyone has studied your generic material to see if you really are Homo sapiens sapiens, or if a pocket of Homo sapiens were separated from the main population and never needed to evolve further to thrive….and now you’ve rejoined us as Republicans. Primitive - that’s the word I was looking for.
I always smile and chuckle when I get a response like that. You may not realise it but:

Biden did an incredible job of repairing the damage Trump did in his first term - but there was so much of it, of course it made him look bad. No one looks good picking up the trash. But he got the US through the last of the pandemic without succumbing to stupid Americans who actually think being asked to wear a mask is curtailing their freedom. They have no fucking clue. And could write an entire book of asinine to criminal things that Trump did, which simply by not doing them made Biden a better president. I mean, at its most basic, Trump is a lying sack of shit, and Biden is a statesman.

I’m *definitely* continuing to vote Liberal, if for no other reason than to keep crazies out of politics. Also, you claim your wildly inflated death toll is proof that the Israelis are trying to wipe out the Palestinians entirely. Except that’s not true is it. Most Israelis are so tired of living under constant threat of brutal attacks by Palestinians that they just want the Palestinians to go somewhere else. Which explains the 87% of Israelis who approve of deporting all remaining Palestinians from Gaza. THIS IS NOT GENOCIDE. And I’m sick of hearing about “the Palestinian genocide”, the “genocidal Jews.” The UN definition is so broad, pretty much any single act of war could be called genocide according to them. I prefer the definition provided by the man who actually came up with the word, which makes it a distinct set of acts with actual meaning: genos (race/tribe) -cide (killing). The original meaning of the word genocide was a coordinated, systematic series of attacks with the specific purpose of eliminating a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, not necessarily requiring the immediate killing of all members. Well, if most Israelis would rather send Palestinians off in a bus, that pretty much makes their actions NOT GENOCIDE. They just want to be safe from people who, due to Iranian influence *do* want to commit genocide. They’ve made no secret of it for years. The single goal of Hamas was to rid the world of Jews. And I’m supposed to be mad about them finally fighting back? I don’t think so. And when you throw the term genocide around, which was never the intent or the outcome, and you post slick-looking propaganda that claims a death toll 10,000x the actual, you don’t do the Palestinian cause any justice.
