@JaneGerson Mosley's postwar group, the League of Empire Loyalists, was active in Hackney in the 50s & 60s. They focused on the Windrush immigrants. My family heckled a Mosley meeting in Ridley Road when I was aabout 13 - I was there too.

I grew up in Hackney, went to Northwold Rd primary school and John Howard grammar school in Lower Clapton. I was in the Hackney Young Socialists. Beyond my family, half the people I knew were Jewish. Such was Hackney then. Now the Greens & Corbynists make it their Nuremberg.

In Hackney today, the Apartheid Free Zone group met to discuss setting up a zone in Hackney. These groups go door-knocking to ask ‘about Israel’. Hackney has a fairly high Jewish population. Green Cllr George Sheldon Grün attended this meeting. They also had a raffle at the end:
