@TylerKluver I don’t disagree, however I would say 2021 was the only year winning the game impacted the perception of Iowa. And that only last half the year until ISU lost several more and Iowa went into offense purgatory
I like playing the game, but I don’t think it helps Iowa
@HawkEagleCub@dan_themandan@dpshow I think it’s jealousy of the attn she’s recvd dating back to college (see: Taurasi & Bird’s alt broadcast of the UConn/IA F4 game). Other players didn’t like that, thought they should have gotten it.
If CC had gone to UConn, is this happening? Quite the opposite, in my opinion
@jemelehill You’re smart enough to understand the point. The uneducated take this stuff at face value, ignore context and reply without thinking. Surely that’s not what you’d do.
If you can’t see how badly the @WNBA is managing the league, no one can help you.
@PhoenixMercury = trash
Just following the example @WNBA has set. Not a serious group of ppl. Just petty, ignorant, not-ready-for-the-moment children with no backbone. Find the adults and ask for the help you clearly need. How @CathyEngelbert still has a job is baffling.
@dpshow@AndrewCDowns It took a few yrs for PGA pros to fully embrace Tiger. They recognized what was happening.
I’m not sure the players in the WNBA actually realize why there’s so much change since CC arrived. Moreover, the league leadership seems to be oblivious as well. Both better figure it out
@dan_themandan@dpshow How do you explain the WNBA’s obvious lifting up of Paige Bueckers, then?
I think there are components of truth to your comments, but I also think the league is just scared to lift up someone who the other players are jealous of. For whatever reason, they like Paige and not CC
@PeteThamel Let’s say the decision goes final…it becomes just another NCAA rule that players will sue over without some Congressional top cover, correct?
@CPowers14 I dunno…tbh I don’t even think about PV. It’s one of those courses I’ll never play.
Yet, I hold ANGC in the highest esteem because I get to SEE it every year.
Maybe having an event on it every 4-5 years will add to the aura?
@mooner32@Murph_Andy Played every sport except soccer (wasn’t offered back then), and I couldn’t disagree more with this comment. No issue with you finding soccer to be boring, that’s fine. But you can still appreciate the strategy and skill that it takes at the pro level.
@Jerry1367@On3@AriWasserman You just described KF’s first 4 years at IA, w/ the exception of winning a conf title. Now add 23 more years, 200+ wins, 2 conf titles, 4 division titles, 4 B1G COY, 8 10+-win seasons, bowl eligible all but 1 yr since ‘01, 101 NFL draft picks,…ya know what, nvmd, Fisch ain’t it.
Questions about soccer,@Daniel_Rapaport:
1. Every player talks to the refs. What language are they speaking? Is there a universal “complaining language” of which I’m unaware?
2. Why do they make such a big deal about substitutions? Just tag in WWF-style and figure out the #’s
