Researchers at MIT have questioned whether SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-bound) actually work. They suggest we might get better outcomes if we make our goals FAST (frequently discussed, ambitious, specific and transparent) not SMART.
A study was published on how personality traits relate to life satisfaction.
The no.1 trait of people satisfied with life?
“Having a lot of fun.”
Here’s what else they found:
No one knows how things will go. If someone you respect says that this or that is going to happen, pat them nicely. Left foot, right foot, breathe. When bad things are happening, we do good things. We help each other stay semi-OK: Tea. Target. Sitting outside gazing. Look up!

What causes mental illness?
The traditional answers include trauma, adversity, genetics, neurotransmitters, inflammation, and hormones.
We also need to include food, nutrition, exercise, sleep, connections, and purpose in life.

Dr. Benjamin Levine is a legend in the field of exercise physiology
He ran a study you should know about...
Here's the low-down:
As we age, the heart tends to get smaller and stiffer
This impacts its efficiency, reducing exercise capacity and potentially elevating heart failure risk
But remarkably...
2 years of vigorous exercise in sedentary 50-year-olds reversed some of the heart's age-related structural changes and stiffness by up to 20 years
Meaning... exercise gave these sedentary 50-year-olds hearts akin to those of 30-year-olds
That's the power of exercise
Astonishing, really

• Answer “What’s in it for me?”
If you shoot 100 shots, you’re bound to land one hit.

Beaches are popular for a reason. Wider bodies of water bring more tranquility.
