@AvidCommentator The event you describe actually happened in Australia in the late 1800s - see the paper titled " Australian Land Speculation 1830–2013". Melbourne house prices dropped drastically through the 1890s depression and did not return to their 1891 peak until 1950.

@Karmageddon67 @QuixoticQuant @TMFScottP This is not correct. CIS applies only to sent out generation - ie MLF and grid congestion (line capacity) remain a risk to the project owner. It excludes negative price outcomes (low demand) - ie the CIS will not compensate projects that dispatch energy below $0/MWh.

@TheGingerRunner UTMB is not the only race in the Alps (there are heaps) - I have just done TOR and it's hard to think of a race that is more about the community (not just ultra but the local community) in an amazing setting. There are over 2000 volunteers - TOR330 only has 1100 competitors.
