@jsrailton Those who advocate surrendering our privacy to the institutions because we live in a democracy, fail to remember that Germany was also a democracy in 1931.
@CasparKozlowski@CTVNews I don't know anyone who chews with their mouth open.
Music on speaker and video watching and phone calls ... yep, bad.
Why don't you like jeans? 👖
🇺🇸🇮🇱 Israelis on Telegram in response to the B-52 crash and death of 8 Americans:
‘They deserve it, I hate the United States no less than Iran.’
‘We just started, dear Americans. The blows have only just begun.’
@ICJPalestine@metpoliceuk The @SkyNews story revealing that the synagogue event was indeed promoting the sale of properties in the illegally occupied Palestinian territories means that the @BoardofDeputies of British Jews has some serious questions to answer following their very misleading statement.
BREAKING: Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of rape. He was found guilty of two of the four rape charges he was facing and acquitted of the other two. https://t.co/VVBiIEEh2I
When asked about the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA), 26% of Canadians said that it should be cancelled outright, while another 28% said it should be reformed to “ensure that it does not apply to goods produced in Israeli settlements.”
Only 26% of Canadians said the agreement should be maintained “as is” and the remaining 20% expressed uncertainty on the matter.
Canadians were also two times more likely to believe it is unacceptable to some extent to allow products from Israeli settlements to receive tariff-free access to Canada.
It’s been 12 days since the Israeli military kidnapped 20-year-old U.S. citizen Sama Safi from her family’s home in the West Bank. She is being held without charge in Israeli military detention where her family cannot access her or contact her.
Update from Bishop Dr. Imad Haddad on Natalie Abudayyeh:
Dear friends and partners,
We give thanks to each of you who have prayed and advocated for the safety and release of ELCJHL youth Natalie Abudayyeh after she was detained by Israeli forces on June 2nd. Unfortunately, Natalie has still not been released.
We have been informed that she had a court appearance yesterday, and the proceedings will continue in ten days. The other three women who were detained with Natalie remain in prison as well. We are deeply concerned about their continued detention and that these proceedings are being held in Israeli military court, where administrative detention can be extended without official charge or trial.
Disturbingly, Natalie’s ongoing detainment is part of a pattern of recent Israeli raids, arrests, and restrictions on Palestinian universities, limiting academic freedom and restricting the right of education. Our youth feel targeted. We are losing an entire generation as our young people struggle to imagine a future in their homeland. Our ELCJHL youth are incredibly dismayed and anxious about the wellbeing and future of Natalie, their sister and friend, and for their own safety here.
This pattern of violence, erasure, and fear is destroying Palestinian life.
We once again call on the global church to remember your commitment to work for justice, peace, and fullness of life, and we ask you to continue to advocate for Natalie’s immediate release.
Please continue to hold Natalie and her family in your prayers.
Bishop Dr. Imad Haddad
Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land
Today the Court of Appeal upheld the Labour government’s proscription of Palestine Action by saying they aren’t a peaceful civil disobedience group like the suffragettes and that Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, is "a company pursuing a lawful business."
The suffragettes bombed the Chancellor's house, planted a bomb outside the Bank of England, burned down churches and train stations, and smashed up art galleries.
Palestine Action destroyed drones used to kill Palestinians in Gaza because Elbit's “lawful business” is arming a genocide.
The British state is rewriting history and dismantling our legal system to protect Israel, a genocidal apartheid state.
@Liberty_Xtreme I wasn't convinced Palantir was genuinely a problem until this moment. This is revalatory to how Palantir will be run going forward: As a new NKVD.
I now advocate for burning the entire company to the ground.
@Liberty_Xtreme Critics: Jews have too much power and influence in America.
Jews: No we don't bigot!
19 yr old: I don't want to work for a Jew.
Jews: Dox that man and make sure he suffers in hell for the rest of his life!
Critics: Um...
Seriously, if this isn’t the most damning indictment of Palantir possible then I don’t know what is.
Because if they’ll bring the entire weight of Jewish Supremacy down on top of a young man just because he annoyed them, then how do you think they’ll employ all-seeing/all-knowing God’s eye view AI technology Palantir when its infrastructure is complete?
Do you want to live in a world where thought crime can land you in prison? Or for that matter, do you want to live in a world where your life can be ruined for using your First Amendment right to freedom of association to turn down a job is punished in such a way? Because I don’t.
These data centers will keep going up because these rich elites are terrified of losing the power base they’ve built. They not only believe they deserve to rule you, but that it’s a moral requirement for them to do so.
Palantir delende est.
In upholding the proscription of Palestine Action, Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr showed she was historically illiterate.
Contrary to her claims, the Sufragettes were neither a peaceful civil disobedience group nor did they operate "transparently in the open".
Their hundreds of bombing and arson attacks are known to have injured at least two dozen people, many of them postal workers, left with severe burns.
Their bomb and arson squads organised this violence through underground cells. Leaders were kept in a network of safe houses to avoid discovery by police. And leader Emmeline Pankhurst used body doubles and assumed names to evade police capture.
There's even a 2015 Hollywood movie, Sufragette, showing all this. This sudden level of ignorance by our political and judicial class is entirely manufactured.
The Sufragette movement was far, far more violent and clandestine than anything Palestine Action has been doing.
That's not an argument against the Suffragettes. It's argument exposing the utter hypocrisy of the politicians, judges and media peddling lies to justify crushing an organisation trying to expose UK government complicity in Israel's genocide.
Their lawyers requested prosecutors hand over information held on their recruiter, including whether they were associated with British intelligence services or a state agent, and where they were based. The judge ruled this "wholly irrelevant" to the trial 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐
Extremely pleased and relieved that this Labour Gov is banning social media for under-16s.
As a mum of a pre-teen, it’s the thing that keeps me up at night. I know many of my constituents feel the same. That’s why I called for a ban, and I am delighted we’re implementing one.
