@jimrobbins@grok, which story is more fabricated: the one where Kim Jong-il played 38 under par in his first game of golf, or this one with Starmer-Russia-Rent boys?
@RupertMyers Are you saying that firmer control over our privacy is a good thing, irrespective of who is in power?
Are you also saying this is not to protect kids but to stop ppl using anonymity?
@GoulderMatt@SugarBonk@TheBritishIntel What if the government changes, like, say, in 1932 Germany, but has the same easy access to your social media interactions? You'd be still ok with it?
@jsrailton Those who advocate surrendering our privacy to the institutions because we live in a democracy, fail to remember that Germany was also a democracy in 1931.
There is no such thing as a “Russian shadow fleet”.
Some shadowy companies defy sanctions for hefty profits and are perfectly legal to do so if they do not dock in countries that sanction Russia.
They can't be insured by Lloyd's and, as a result, may be “dangerous” to the environment.
Nothing we can do about it except board them with TV crews to pose for the cameras and show that we're doing something meaningful.
