Very happy to share that 13 of my lovable KISSians have qualified for the prestigious National Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students, enabling them to pursue Ph.D. programmes with a fellowship stipend of ₹45,000 per month. Of the 13 students who qualified, two belong to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups. This gives me special happiness.

At KISS, education is not limited to the classroom. Along with their regular studies, our students are guided and groomed for competitive examinations and other important opportunities. A large number of KISS students continue to achieve success in different fields.

This is the beauty of KISS. Children from humble tribal backgrounds are moving forward through education, building a good future for themselves and also becoming capable of supporting their parents and families.

I am sure these young scholars will become good researchers and contribute to society through their knowledge. Heartiest congratulations to all of them, their teachers and mentors. My best wishes for their research journey ahead.

KISS Ranked 24th in India among Government and Private Institutions in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.

I feel very happy to share that KISS Deemed to be University has shown a very good performance in the Times Higher Education World Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.

KISS has been placed in the 401–600 global rank band and secured 24th position in India among government and private institutions. This is a big jump from the 1001–1500 global band in 2025.

For a young deemed-to-be university like KISS, created exclusively for tribal children, this recognition gives me deep happiness. It shows that when work is done with sincerity, care and purpose, the world also recognises it slowly.

KISS has also secured Top 10 positions in India in three important SDGs — SDG 1: No Poverty, 6th; SDG 4: Quality Education, 9th; and SDG 5: Gender Equality, 6th. These SDGs are closely connected with the life, dignity, education and empowerment of our tribal children, especially our girls.

This recognition belongs to our students, alumni, teachers, staff, well-wishers and everyone who has believed in this mission. We will continue to work with humility and responsibility for the poorest of the poor, for tribal empowerment, and for a more equal and compassionate society.

Heartiest congratulations to Odisha’s Animesh Kujur for qualifying for the Asian Games 2026 in Men’s 200m at the 65th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar.

Clocking 20.87 seconds, he has made Odisha and India proud. My best wishes to him for the days ahead.

Very happy to share that our KIIT & KISS students performed Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet and Macbeth in Santali today in Kolkata.

After their return from Romania, and after their performances in Delhi and Bhubaneswar, it was a proud moment to see our children perform again today before a distinguished gathering in Kolkata. For me, Shakespeare in Santali by our tribal students is very special. It shows that when children are given love, care and opportunity, their talent can reach any stage in the world.

The programme was graced by Padma Bhushan Shri Leander Paes Ji, Olympic Medallist and International Tennis Hall of Famer; Smt. Purnima Chakraborty Ji, Hon’ble Minister of State for Information & Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Government of West Bengal; and many eminent guests.

I feel very happy that everyone appreciated the performance of our children. When our tribal children perform on such platforms and receive so much love, it touches my heart. It gives them courage and takes their language, culture and confidence to a larger world.

The 17th KIIT International Chess Festival 2026 has started at KIIT with a record prize pool of Rs. 1.31 crore, the highest prize money offered by any university in India.

This year, more than 4,000 players and officials from over 40 countries, including 25 Grandmasters, 50 International Masters and many international title holders, have come to KIIT. Around 2,000 parents are also here with them. It gives me immense happiness to see KIIT becoming a global meeting place for chess lovers.

What started in 2011 with a prize fund of Rs. 16 lakh has today grown into one of the most respected international chess festivals. This has been possible because of the continued support of FIDE, AICF, Odisha Chess Association, organisers, players, parents and all well-wishers.

I was also touched to be felicitated by the chess players and parents from Odisha, AOCA and AICF. I have always believed that sports and academics should go together. KIIT & KISS will continue to support chess and all sports with full dedication.

My congratulations to all participants and winners of the BLITZ OPEN. My best wishes to every young player. May this festival give them good exposure, confidence and inspiration to achieve greater success in life.

This is the result of Art of Giving and doing good work for people with a pure heart.

I felt very happy to meet my dear friend Mr Jonathan Granoff, President, Global Security Institute, USA, again during my visit to Montana, USA. He had recently visited KIIT & KISS and had seen our work and the philosophy of Art of Giving very closely. I felt humbled that he came all the way from New York to Montana just to meet me and say a few kind words about our work at the evening gathering.

When work is done with love, sincerity and service, people remember it with affection. Mr Granoff is a very respected person and a good human being with a kind heart.

As part of the 13th International Day of Art of Giving celebrations, our AOG volunteer Mr. Jumpa Adhikary carried forward the inspiring message of “Share to Shine” in Dhupguri Ward No. 8, Niranjan Path Modhyapara, West Bengal.

Through meaningful community engagement and acts of kindness, the initiative reflected the values of compassion, positivity, and togetherness, encouraging people to spread humanity through simple acts of giving.

I feel very happy to see such massive participation of young people from across all the states of India at the recent National Youth Conclave.

71st Honorary Doctorate.

Humbled to receive my 71st Honorary Doctorate from Karnatak University, Dharwad, one of the oldest and most respected universities of Karnataka, established in 1949, during its 75th Annual Convocation. His Excellency Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot Ji, Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and handed over the honour in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and other distinguished dignitaries.

I was also touched by the warm welcome and affection shown by the university leadership, faculty members and students.

Receiving this honour from such a historic university with a rich academic legacy gives me deep happiness and humility. My heartfelt thanks to the university for this honour and for recognising my work in the field of education and social empowerment.

I dedicate this honour to the students, staff and well-wishers of the KIIT and KISS family, whose love, trust and support have always remained my strength.

I feel very happy to meet more than 350 youth leaders and volunteers from all 30 states of India at the National Youth Conclave at KIIT & KISS.

For the last few years, they have been spreading the message of Art of Giving in different parts of the country. They came with so much love and affection. The standing ovation, their kind words, and the gifts they brought from their respective states touched me deeply. I felt humbled by their love.

For three days, they will discuss “Share to Shine” and other related subjects on Art of Giving. It gives me happiness to see young people come together with such a good thought for society. My good wishes are with all of them.

Heartiest congratulations to Ms Sadhvi Satish Sail of Goa on being crowned Femina Miss India World 2026 at the Grand Finale of KIIT Presents 61st Femina Miss India 2026, held at KIIT today. My congratulations also to Ms Rajnandini Pawar of Maharashtra, 1st Runner-Up, and Ms Sree Advaita G of Uniona Territory, 2nd Runner-Up. It was a matter of pride for all of us that this prestigious national event was held in Odisha for the first time, and at the KIIT campus.

For the last few days, the participants and officials had been with us and experienced KIIT, KISS and the rich culture of Odisha closely. Today, seeing this beautiful journey come to its grand conclusion gave me much happiness.

I thank everyone who worked day and night and helped conduct the entire programme smoothly and gracefully. My sincere thanks to The Times Group, Femina, all officials, participants, guests, students, staff, volunteers and the entire KIIT and KISS family. Everything was completed very smoothly, and that gave me happiness.

Heartiest congratulations to Ms. Teenaa Rath of Mother’s Public School, Puri, for this rare and remarkable achievement in the CBSE Grade X 2025–26 results.

Scoring 500 out of 500 and becoming the National and State Topper is a matter of great happiness for Odisha. This success reflects her hard work, discipline and sincerity. I also convey my congratulations and thanks to her parents and teachers, whose care, guidance and blessings have helped her reach this moment.

My best wishes to Teenaa for a very bright future ahead. May she continue to move forward with confidence and achieve many more milestones in life.

I feel very happy to know that my lovable students of KiiT International School have performed so well in the CBSE Class X Board Examinations.

My blessings and congratulations to Adweya Sarangi for securing 99.8% and becoming the school topper, and to Swastika Mishra for securing 99.4%. It is also a matter of great happiness that all the students have passed in first division, and 70% of them have secured above 90%.

I am also happy to know that in the SEN Global category, Satwik Santosh Tripathy has secured the highest marks with 95.4%. This is equally a proud moment for all of us.

This success is the result of the sincere efforts of the students, the constant care of parents, and the dedication of our teachers and staff. I convey my heartfelt thanks to the entire KiiT International School family for maintaining such a high standard of education with love and care over the years.
