1/6 We are excited to share our latest work on distributed ZKP generation and how we can harness the abundant supply of idle commodity hardware aggregated through decentralized compute protocols.
Distributed computing is a powerful technique for accelerating computation through massive parallelism. Although there are many challenges involved, we show that it is perfectly viable to apply distributed computing to ZKP generation π₯
We are excited to announce that our distributed halo2 prover is now 1.75x faster using two concurrent worker nodes!
This is a promising start and paves the way for distributed proving with a much larger cluster to achieve *one order of magnitude* faster proving.

6/6 Overall, this early-stage benchmark demonstrates the promising potential of distributed proving for drastically driving down the latency and cost of ZKP proving π«

5/6 Hardware utilization ->
Although we are starting with halo2, our approach is universal and we are actively working on distributed provers for other proof systems, both SNARK- and STARK-based. As we extend our support and onboard more customers, the increasing aggregated demand will lead to higher hardware utilization rate, thereby maximizing the return earned by individuals putting their commodity hardware on P2P compute protocols to use.

Here goes another article on ZK and how it serves to provide "Cryptographic trust" while @eigencloud 's restaking offers "Programmed trust", and how the offering of both completes the infra phase for Web 3π«¨
