@MathewsAnnika I think people know my experience of the Church of England's proud bigotry on mental ill-health π Personally, I would not disclose any previous experience of mental illness: the Church sees us as fundamentally, permanently broken, incapable, and barred from ministry.
@yjmstom @dodgyvictorians Maybe they have less insight? I don't really understand. They've just asked if I'd go on the preaching/leading rota again. I know I've left them short-staffed, and I was working under loose supervision but..
Big Sunday dinner with my dad eaten, and now I think a snooze is in order, before I do my reading for tomorrow's slightly unexpected class. Come Friday, I'll have no more classes at all!
@dodgyvictorians @yjmstom I don't know why the clergy thought me suitable. Even after being paused. I was supposed to lead next weeks service, and preach the following. But I've no spiritual self-awareness, just head knowledge, not heart.
@dodgyvictorians @yjmstom There will be more distance soon. I shall have to leave my church. Which might be good, as it hurts to not serve as I did, and I had too much confidence from there anyway.
@dodgyvictorians @yjmstom I don't think they would command me even if I asked them, actually. But then, I suppose, I don't go in for demanding obedience from others either.
@dodgyvictorians @yjmstom There are only a few people to whom I would freely offer my obedience. The DDO is not one of them π but those to whom I would offer it would not actually request I obey them.
@dodgyvictorians @yjmstom I feel rather dirtied by the process, to be honest. In it, words don't have their normal meanings, and everything I've done is wrong. It's all very confusing, and I'm someone I've never known myself to be. But it is for my good...somehow.
