@CorrugatedCava1@its_powie @gayforeveralone @BiArthurMorgan @LilySimpson1312 Believe it or not I'm actually really glad you were right. That would have been extremely sad otherwise. I also didnt know about opindia's reputation. However, the last paragraph of this article says that he was ordered by court to use certain gender pronouns for his underage kid
@sloppypantz My whole reasoning is long, but I'll try to sum it up. Acknowledging your gender world view means the barriers between men & women are so blurred that the words end up having no meaning. The whole thing seems pointless. As I understand it: genders are social constructs (1/8)
@sloppypantz It's not an opinion, I literally listed examples of how it's affecting other people. And to summarize it as you did (that being the only effect on society) shows that you're either fooling yourself into believing so or are painfully over-simplifying the situation.
@ComeOnMang02@stonepawz@Shulmaniac @gayforeveralone @BiArthurMorgan @LilySimpson1312 You literally asked the question π€£π€£π€£ How are you gonna ask and then say who cares what you think wft?? I just told you the cost, and you're gonna repeat that it doesn't cost me anything? Ok dude. You think it's supposed to cost $ or something? No point in continuing with you.
@CorrugatedCava1 @gayforeveralone @BiArthurMorgan @LilySimpson1312 It's literally illegal in Canada. And that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. Additionally, aside from my own feelings/experiences, I gave the sports example. Did you miss that part? It's not a legal repercussion, but a huge repercussion nonetheless.
@ChubCoder@JasonDrakeCam@sloppypantz That's been exactly my whole point in the entirety of this thread. My argument is that it IS a problem based on principle for myself, and that the attitude the LGBTQ has taken IS boarder-line shoving an ideology down our throats.
@ComeOnMang02@stonepawz@Shulmaniac @gayforeveralone @BiArthurMorgan @LilySimpson1312 There is a cost. It's a constant betrayal of one's own logic & convictions, and possibly feeding into and ideology you don't agree with. On top of that there's the principle: threat of backlash if you don't. I'd say it isn't unreasonable to decline at that cost.
@CorrugatedCava1 @gayforeveralone @BiArthurMorgan @LilySimpson1312 They're decisive because of their implications, which not everyone agrees with. Feel free to read the thread below:

@sloppypantz That's exactly what I'm talking about. Yet we're taking this undefined mess and shoehorning it into language and science. There is no cohesive idea, and many of these ideas contradict themselves. But I CAN see what it's effects are in society. That's how I've made my decision.

@sloppypantz@JasonDrakeCam I see it as being a reoccurring betrayal of my logic, and the constant knowledge that I'm actively feeding into this ideology, which I disagree with. I simply choose not to.
@sloppypantz@JasonDrakeCam I've never met a more entitled group. In all my experiences, they practically demand you accommodate them. In the worst cases, they do demand at the cost of greatly infringing on other people's lives. It usually is good to accommodate people, but not in this case imo.
@JasonDrakeCam@sloppypantz Somehow this argument always pops up. I'm learning my third language, so language isn't the problem. You know damn well no native speaker would struggle with it either. I'd simply rather not engage with/feed into the idea based on principle.
